Residence Permit in Turkey.

Ensuring parallelism in the application of national law and international law rules is important in the context of preventing human rights violations and creating a human-worthy system. In this context, foreigners in our country have various rights and obligations. Residence permits place the stay of foreigners in our country on a legal basis within the framework of these rights and obligations.

according to the Law on Foreigners and International Protection No. 6458 (YUKK), a residence permit refers to a permit issued to stay in Turkey. This permit document issued by the competent authorities provides the foreigner with the right to live in a certain place for a certain period of time in our country. A residence permit, which is important for ensuring and protecting public order, is issued if a foreigner makes a request, applies with the requested documents, and meets the conditions of the type of residence permit he requested.

A residence permit is a permit issued to foreigners who want to stay in Turkey. Foreigners who will stay in our country for more than ninety days or the period allowed by the visa or visa exemption are required to apply for the type of residence permit that they think meets the requirements via the e-residence system. Foreigners who have completed their application must be present at the provincial/district directorate of migration management in the province where they want to live on the appointment day determined by the system. Foreigners who are not present at the provincial/district migration management directorate on the appointment day without a valid excuse are deemed not to have applied at all. A number of information and documents may be requested by the administration in determining the valid excuse. As a rule, applications for residence permit extension are made by the same procedure.
